Event registration begins at 6:30 p.m. After you register, you will be escorted to a reception that includes the silent auction. The doors to the ballroom will open at 8:00 p.m. for dinner, program, live auction and the featured guest performance. At 10:30 p.m., guests will be invited to the late-night party for snacks, dancing and other fun surprises. The event is scheduled to end at 11:00 a.m.
A room block for Celebration Gala has been reserved at the Harbor Beach Marriott Fort Lauderdale Resort and Spa for a special rate of $249 through April 5, 2019.
What is the Celebration Gala?
The American Cancer Society’s annual Celebration Gala "Race for Research" will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Harbor Beach Marriott Fort Lauderdale Resort & Spa. Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. with a pre-event reception which includes a silent auction followed by an elegant dinner, a live auction, incredible entertainment and a Late-Night party.
Who is Attending?
More than 500 guests are expected to attend including corporate sponsors, business owners and philanthropic leaders.
The Celebration Gala 2019 event chair Lori Castle of Lifestyle Media Group and has chaired the event since 2017. Event co-chairs are Loriann & Peter Gary, host of Two Broads from Boca radio show and Pinnacle Advertising, respectively.
Since 2017, the annual Celebration Gala has raised over $1 million to support the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives and create a world with less cancer by helping people stay well and get well. The Celebration Gala, formerly the Birthday Ball has hosted Broward County business, residents and philanthropic leaders for over 20 years. It now includes the South Palm Beach community. The Celebration Gala is one of south Florida’s premier cancer fundraising events.
Credit cards, cash and checks will be accepted.
Mobile bidding on cell phones will be used at the Celebration Gala. Please be sure to bring your fully-charged cell phone with you.
How to Make a Donation
You may CLICK HERE to donate online, call or mail in your donation to the Celebration Gala office at 3363 W. Commercial Blvd. Ste 100 Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309.
If you mail in your donation, the American Cancer Society will send you a receipt for your tax records, approximately six weeks after payment is received. If you make a donation online using your credit card, you will be directed to a confirmation page that can be printed for your tax records. In addition, an email will be sent to you that includes a receipt that can be printed for your records.
