Complimentary valet parking is available for Celebration Gala guests, courtesy of Amerant Bank at the Convention Center Valet area.
 
Attire Black-tie
Tuxedos for men and ball gowns for women.
 
Schedule:
6:30 PM – 8:00 PM Reception 
8:00 PM – 10:30 PM Dinner & Auction
10:30 PM – 12:00 AM Late-Night Party
 
Event registration begins at 6:30 p.m. . The doors to the ballroom will open at 8:00 p.m. for dinner, program, and live auction. At 10:30 p.m., guests will be invited to the late-night party for dancing and other fun surprises. The event is scheduled to end at midnight.
 
There is currently no room block at this time at the Diplomat Resort Hollywood.  We are sorry for the inconvenience.

What is the Celebration Gala?
The American Cancer Society’s annual Celebration Gala " Creating a Future Without Cancer” will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the Diplomat Resort Hollywood. Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. with a pre-event reception, followed by an elegant dinner, a live auction, incredible entertainment and a Late-Night party. 

Who is Attending?
More than 500 guests are expected to attend including corporate sponsors, business owners and philanthropic leaders. 

Event Leadership
The 2020 Celebration Gala will be chaired by Kim and Randy Sweers of FB Marine Group. They were also recognized as the 2018 Celebration Gala Honorees. 

The Honorary Chair will be Lori Castle of Lifestyle Media Group and has chaired the event since 2017. 

Event History
Since 2017, the annual Celebration Gala has raised over $1.5 million to support the American
Cancer Society’s mission to save lives and create a world with less cancer by helping people
stay well and get well. The Celebration Gala, (formerly the Birthday Ball) has hosted Broward County business, residents and philanthropic leaders for over 20 years. It now includes the South Palm Beach community.  The Celebration Gala is one of south Florida’s premier cancer fundraising events. 

Payment Information
Credit cards and checks will be accepted. 

Auction
Mobile bidding on cell phones will be used at the Celebration Gala. Please be sure to bring your fully-charged mobile device with you.

How to Make a Donation
You may CLICK HERE to donate online, call or mail in your donation to the Celebration Gala office at 3363 W. Commercial Blvd. Ste 100 Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309.

If you mail in your donation, the American Cancer Society will send you a receipt for your tax records, approximately six weeks after payment is received. If you make a donation online using your credit card, you will be directed to a confirmation page that can be printed for your tax records. In addition, an email will be sent to you that includes a receipt that can be printed for your records.
